In any production process, the first step is crucial to the success of the final product, which is selecting the raw materials. For the aluminium billet production process, the raw material is the primary aluminium ingot.

At this stage, the manufacturer will randomly select pure aluminium ingots from the batch of ingots imported to test the aluminium content in the laboratory. The batches of ingots meeting the order specifications will be put into the melting and alloying stage, which requires high purity to ensure that when they come out of the furnace, the aluminium billets meet the quality standards suitable for all user needs.

1.2. Step 2: Melting and Alloying

After selecting the standard aluminium ingots, they are then placed into the melting furnace at temperatures ranging from 660°C to 710°C. This stage transforms the aluminium from solid to liquid form. Subsequently, pure aluminium is blended with various alloys such as silicon, magnesium, manganese, copper, zinc, chromium, etc., according to international alloy standards, to create aluminium alloys to meet the manufacturer’s requirements such as A6063, A6061, A6005A, A6060, Series 7000, etc. At this stage, aluminium water samples are repeatedly analyzed to ensure the absolute accuracy of the alloy composition.

1.3. Step 3: Aluminium Billet Casting

From the liquid form of the aluminium alloy, it is further passed through the GBF system and poured into the casting mold, then cooled to solidify. From this, aluminium billets in standard lengths and diameters are produced. Subsequently, the aluminium billets undergo ultrasonic testing to detect and remove any substandard products during the casting process. At this stage, the surface quality of the aluminium billets needs to be shiny and smooth to facilitate the production of other high-strength aluminium products.

For exports, the length of both ends of the aluminium billet will be further cut to 5800mm to fit the container area. The final step is to transfer the aluminium billets to the homogenization treatment furnace.
